Interesting whichever way it goes. Still definitely think from the (very) little I've seen of his play that Mr Rubin will be top 100. With Mr Kozlov, I last saw him I think routing Mr Milton - must be a year or two ago - and thought he played well (also that Mr Milton was quite frustrated ... which I would be, too, if I were being comprehensively beaten by a 16 year old) Then periodically I see results and think "he's not really gone on as one might expect" ... until I remember that as you say, he's still 17. He's been around so long that one tends to forget that.
Think it must be so helpful for all of the US up-and-comings to have so many of them. One of the days when I looked at the Charlottesville schedule, every singles match had at least one US teen in it, and some had two. Must help with the pressure of expectations.
On a different note, good luck to Mr O'Hare and Mr Salisbury. And thank you to whoever posted the link to the article re: Mr Salisbury. Great piece! Would be really interesting to see them make the final, given that they're then quite likely to run into Brunstrom and Nielsen (whom I've probably just jinxed). Bit rough on everybody else to have those two mopping up the US challengers, but a good test for where people are. And as the Scandinavians are presumably using this as a springboard to get back on the main tour next year, one hopes they're near their target. Would be very good to see them together full time on the main tour next year.
