So there will be four final qualifiers, all involving Brits !
Let''s hope that tomorrow you can repeat that phrase, just taking out the words"final" and "involving".
Not sure how precedented the first is, particularly in foreign parts, but the second would be surely unprecedented ( unless someone knows differently ).
So, I'm just going to say "Let's make his-to-ry !"
Well Tommy Paul didn't fancy it, but time for the U.S. Bright young things to take a British road test, Noah Rubin v Jo will be very interesting given that he didn't have the confidence to go for it off the bat and is now coming off a decent year at Wake Forest but not stellar and Jo progressed really well up at Memphis and has now had a good stint on tour.
Marcus should if on form give Kozlov a really good test and it's time for David Rice to show us that all the resources of the USTA are a complete waste of time, all you need is a hut and a hard court in Great Shelford!
The rankings were hugely in our lads favour so it's no surprise they all won but really great to see that Dan S and Marcus, in particular, are - HOPEFULLY - injury-free and competing again. It's been a long time.....
Monday's OOP is up for Charlottesville, and it could easily be mistaken for a UK grass court event from the number of GB names on show!
Dave Rice kicks things off on Court 7 at 3pm UK time, followed by Joe Salibury, with Joe then returning for doubles on the same court not before 10pm UK time.
On Court 9 its Dan Smethurst up first (3pm GMT again) followed by Marcus Willis, and then 4th and 5th on Court 9 are Milts and then Evo - both playing their 1st round MD matches.
So, to summarise, I'm going to be spending a lot of tomorrow afternoon/evening on my computer. COME ON GB BOYS!!!
