Pauffley serves for it at 5-4 but inspired Glasspool breaks and holds 6-5*

Neil served for the match at *5-4 only for to get broken back. A very quick hold for Lloyd and Neil is now serving again at 6-4 *5-6

Lloyd got to 0-30 (at which point he'd won 14 of the last 15 points) but Neil recovered to win the next 4 - tiebreak time!

The good servers just can't hold at the moment! It's not third time lucky for Neil as Lloyd saves another MP - 7-7 - and in fact Neil can't win either service point, giving Lloyd his first set point - which Neil then saves! 8-8 Another mini-break and Neil has a 4th match point, again on serve.

Congrats to Neil on his fourth Futures singles title - his first since 2013 and his first not on "carpet":

FINAL: Neil Pauffley WR 796 beat Lloyd Glasspool WR 643 by 6-4 7-6(8)

As I mentioned above, Neil should now jump to about 590 on Monday week, Lloyd to a new career high around 560.

And Neil runs out the , but not without a fight from Lloyd:  Neil served for the match at 5-4 & then spurned three match points in the tie-break before eventually converting the fourth!

Final:  Neil Pauffley WR 796 defeated Lloyd Glasspool WR 643 by 6-4 7-6(8)

After draining, nervy and at times brilliant tie break, Pauffley finally wraps it up 6-4 7-6 (8)

Brilliant, guys !

Poor Sherbert is probably having a lie-down now, with major heart palpitations. (Don't crush the hair-do, sherbert).

Congrats, Neil - it was long overdue, you deserve it.

And another great week from Lloyd.

I think Lloyd has some great things ahead, but really chuffed for Neil this week. Felt like he needed a week like this after many close matches and poor draws. Congratulations to him and, of course, sherbert.
