Evan is our first winner of the day completing a 1&2 victory. Find it difficult to get excited when Luke is also a fav of mine, but that is very impressive from Evan.
More excited by the fact Jonny has taken the 1st set on a breaker against the Nš8 seed.
OK. At risk of being a complete jinx, I am going to stick my neck out here and say that Joel will take out the Nš2 seed. This result will be my "shock of the day".
Corrie playing "best he has for a while."
Glasspool gets early break -1-0
O'Mara broken now 7-6 3-4*
Cannell very competitive against the grinding Italian
Pauffley played really well against talented & febrile young Uzbek.
Really don't know much about Glasspool (except his name being great), or his prospects, so will be interesting to follow his progress over the next year or so, presuming he intends to play.
Lloyd has finished college now and is big pals with Evo. Big serve volley game that should cause anyone problems.
I agree with the conclusion but, having seem him play several matches in Greece on the livestream, he hardly ever serves and volleys, or rarely at any rate. Maybe it depends on the match but he wasn't doing it there.
I was expecting a Joe Salisbury sort of game but it was quite different - really solid from the back, far more classic, really good, in fact.
NB He's now based in Spain, at Soto, along with Josh WH

Ah right, I must admit though CD I've only seen him once, I can't remember who he was playing now. I think the big serve is still a potent point though, that bit won't change!

It's not the worst prediction ever. If Joel cuts out the silly errors he can win this as Viola is not doing much to hurt him but Joel is over pressing. Viola has just taken the first set 7-5.
Viola breaks, serving for 1st set...Holds to take first set, despite Cannell looking his equal.
O'Mara holds in 1st game of 3rd set, despite being bit too adventurous, and losing his cool at Umpire's call (which I thought was correct)
