The combination of that scoopy swerving slice shot and her lob must make Niculescu really frustrating to play against, particularly over such a long match, so well done Heather to keep focussed and get the win.

Phew. That was horrible to watch. Heather needs to be much more aggressive and the length of her groundstrokes is a concern. BUT, as you say Monica has a unique way of frustrating players and sapping their energy/confidence.

Phew; had to leave off watching fearing the worst as Heather's advantage and will to live seemed to be ebbing away. Well done Heather for getting through it; that style of MN's really is frustrating to watch (let alone, I imagine, play against).

Pretty extraordinary two games with Heather seemingly channeling Aga Radwanska with some crazy good stuff. In utter contrast to the entirety of the Niculescu match.
Echoes of something we last saw against Serena at SW19.

I doubt it can last, but that last two games just had me punching the air, rather!
