Well done Dominique smile

I beleive that after Heraklion and Antalya last year that this gives her a WTA ranking.

I don't think so, sadly.
You only receive points in a $10K for Main Draw wins, nothing for qualifying.
Dominique will need to qualify and win her R1 to get her third counter.
This was the big story with Dominique, she actually won quite a lot of matches - even against higher ranked opposition, just none of them ever counted for a point.

But, she is, at least, still in with a shot this week of getting that third counter

Sarah Lee might be a difficult match as well. Not played for a while on tour, which would indicate she may have been at college.

On the contrary, Sarah Lee will be a piece of cake.

Might be a slightly indigestible slice of cake though.....Miss Lee has just finished at Michigan, a reasonably strong uni team, where she played at the top of the order....

The cake fell a bit flat:

Dommie def. Sarah Lee 6-4 6-2

in the MD, Dommie gets a 19 year-old Russian, ex JWR 32 but only 749 in adult

Laura D gets a Guadeloupian (??) wildcard 16 year-old (now that's got to be a result)

And Anna gets the 5th seed, Sanesi, WTA 499 (ex 294 eighteen months ago).

Poor Dommie loses 63 57 75. Was *3-5 down in third, had a point for 6-5*

So close
