I wonder why Amanda decided to tour the hard courts S.America rather than the £25Ks in USA that are played on clay.
I suspect it's because tournaments in the USA are always highly competitive + full of under-ranked players, most of whom Mandy would probably lose to more often than not. That said, picking tournaments based on estimated strength doesn't protects you from tough draws, as we can see here.

I think that she's chosen the right tournaments, it's just that the draw gods are against her. The MDs are even harder in the USA and she would have to play 2 or 3 tricky qualifiers just to get there.
Match ''interrupted'' whilst Em has break point on her opponent's serve at 4-5 in the final set. If she win0s the next point (adv Em ) she levels the match
