 Too good for doubles, and using it for match practice. Players using doubles for this makes sense To help their serve and volley games. Thats why you see a lot of players who dont play much doubles using grass more than say clay or hard in this way.

Practice maybe, but I'm afraid it didn't look like working out for them. In the few games I saw at the end of the match, I could easily have been convinced that neither of them had played doubles before. Disappointing.
