Yeah no chance. Was 101 after his last match but now 108. Surprised he didnt bother playing in any of the last 3 weeks of the challenger season surely trying to make main draw of a slam is worth it!

I know, surprised me also but his form went off the last couple of months, maybe he just needed a break?
It really is a bit ridiiculous when you look at least one of the players on protected ranking. Balazs, is 35 and has played 11 matches over the past two years, mostly GSs and ATP tour matches which he was knocked out of in the first round but has earned $235,000. He is ranked 1030 in the world and hasn't played since the US Open but is getting PR for the AO.

I know, it is ridiculous. It makes a mockery of the intent behind the rule to allow PR's to be used in this way. Needs to be some sort of sub clause about minimum play once recovered from injury or some such

He is down for qualifying for Delray Beach, Los Cabos then Acapulco in the next 3 weeks (3rd alt in Delray Beach so fair chance he makes main draw).
Good, some decent points on offer if he plays those so hopefully just one or two wins will bring him back again. Presumably then IW and Miami qualies as well?
Update: Wont be going to Miami to play Q there. Been struggling to get my ankle injury right over the last month in the USA and Mexico. Gets pretty bad after a match. Going to go back to London and get a scan and hopefully get it right in time for a good clay season
