Jack Draper's Masters ranking of 9 proved high enough to be offered entry to the Chengdu tournament, as 2 higher ranked players (Korda and Seyboth Wild) declined invites. However Jack has also opted out, so we won't have any representation

I normally begin to get excited about any of our boys who break the top 20, a few more of our 01's will get close when the 00's drop out in the new year, there are 7 in the top 10 and 12 in the top 20 as things stand 23 in the top 50.
Would expect though to see Jacob and Harry transition more into seniors in the new year. It would seem time to test that water much more, indeed maybe be their main concentration.
It is a very good group of 2001s, the number upping the odds of maybe even more beyond one or two making a real impact from the 2001ers in the years to come.

Yes, I agree, it's interesting times. But we have had so many top 20 (indeed top 10) players who have not ever become top 100 players - Morgan, Golding, Ward-Hibbert, Broady, to name a few - that it makes me reluctant to get too excited though. (And it's not just us, there are a huge packet of similar players from other countries). However, it's a numbers game and, as you say, we now have a big pool of potentials, which has to be good going forward.
