Davis Cup 2018 World Group Play-Off - Great Britain v Uzbekistan - 14-16 September

Karimov takes 3rd set. Been improving throughout this game. There's a decent player there in this 20year old Uzbek.

P.S.  I agree with the others about that unflattering fuzz on Dan's upper lip!

Interesting if Cam loses this match. Hm. Anyway I have to leave at the end of this set. Didn't expect it to run so long but worth the money.

This format of DC just keeps on giving. Karimov in the ascendancy. This tie is wide open still.

5th set now - oh dear. Although we should expect Jamie and Dom to win the doubles, on this form the Cam v Istomin singles is not going to be a pushover and we dont really want it to go down to the final match. Come on cam, need this final set

Nozzer has started the 5th with more respect for Karimov. He's not over hitting as much, trying to force the points. He needs to keep calm here, very dangerous this fella and playing like top 150 minimum.

I hate to admit this, but I really want Karimov to win so that the match is still live on Sunday.

If he doesn't make some kind of adjustment here, he'll have lost this in the next 20minutes.

No way back now without a miracle, two breaks down and visibly knackered. Karimov has fantastic mobility, always in the rally.

Well I think you're going to get your wish, but I would just say - be very careful what you wish for.

Would you play cam again Sunday or throw in Jay?

I'd be interested to hear the views of those who have been predicting that Cam will have a much higher world ranking than Kyle. He's nowhere near the same level. And in reply to JonH - no I wouldn't throw Jay in against Istoman

 It's a good question JonH.

I'm not sure he can beat Istomin at all. Looks to be a little unfit to me Nozzer for top100.. Sorry just saying. He was puffing hard there towards the end but I guess a days rest will certainly help. Jay can't beat Istomin though can he?

Dubs should be safe and Dan is in good form. Karimov is capable of beating Dan though from what I have seen here. Haven't a clue what could happen.
