Following on from the above, Liv's new career high doubles ranking, now 29 on live rankings, may well be the highest ever for any British woman - for about 50 years or so anyway.

Among the current crop, only Heather comes close, and none of Baltacha, Keothavong, Durie, Barker, Wade - most of whom played very little doubles.

 Computerised doubles rankings only started in 1984, but Jo Durie and Anne Hobbs were both Top 10. Virginia Wade  would have been close to the top, and Sue Barker had big doubles success too.

 Durie and Hobbs were a top 5 pair around the mid 80s I think? Was t debbie Jevans highly ranked as well? In doubles?
