And Tad Maclean adds to the excellent haul of results from the British boys today.

He's junior ranked 488 and beat the Italian lad, ranked 78, both the same age.

However, he now gets the second seeded Brazilian who beat David Quayle (although it was close).

Rahul Dhokia only lost out 4-6 in the third so a very good effort too.

I've got a lot of time for Oliver Okonkwo - very athletic and powerful, good to watch. I think he's going to Iowa next year - hope he does well - he's got the game that should mature well in the next few years.

I like Tad too, especially given his personal drive. A real Cornish lad, tall, fit, with a very nice game of tennis that also will only get better in the next few years.

Weightman is our new Tim Henman - looks like a choirboy and endlessly charges the net.

And Brandon (no choirboy!) has always been a fave....

(I remember Ewen as being little for his age but a fighter - he might have grown though - and Maggs as having some wicked slice)

Go, lads !

And Oliver and Tad come through !!!!

Thrilled for them - those are great results.

And Brandon went to three sets against Alex Maggs.

My boys did good

Ewen and Oliver lost in two.

Although most of the players are unranked at adult level, or only have lowly rankings, a couple stand out from the crowd....

Anton's opponent, junior number 1, is ATP 727

And Oliver Okonwo's opponent is ATP 671 !

Good luck to all.

Blu and Aidan won too.

Emile lost in three.

There's not enough time to do a report (too many players ) but I spent a super full day there today - saw all the boys.

Some excellent performances from the lads (although grass was a bit of a leveller in some of the matches, I think).

But they really did us proud, even those who lost.

If anyone has any specific questions, please feel free to ask.

Glad you had a good day there. I hope the support and encouragement from coaches etc. was top class - it hasn't always been in the recent past according to your reports.
