In the MD, wildcards have gone to:

Ben Jones
Oscar Weightman (age 16)
Joel Cannell
Rob Carter

Who decides on this, why would Rob Carter get one instead of a younger player?

For those following on livescore, the Neil P v Ben Jones match gizmo seems to have given up the ghost but spectator, Lee, tweets that it's one set all. (With thanks to steven for retweeting).

Lee says he's the sole spectator - guess that makes him the on-lee guy there - must be a bit lone-lee....

That's a good come back and good win for Billy. Should give him some confidence going forward. On paper his second round match is much easier.

Good to see these wins by two 16yos in Oscar and Jack, born in November and December 2001 respectively.

With Oscar adding his name I make it that in total In total we will now have more 2001 born ranked players than from each of 2000 and 1999. 4, 2 and 3 respectively.

We appear to have 11 ranked players born in 1998, headed by Jay.

In 2015 how many 1998 born players were ranked? I think it was zero. Bring on 2021! Michael Downeys legacy?
