So we have 11 into the L16 and represented in all 8 matches. Odds on an all British QF line-up?

Scott Duncan is already ranked again following a recent Belarus 15K R1 win. He is WR 1793.

A pretty good day today - 11 out of 19 Brits through, 6-3 in the GB v non-GB matches when it would have been 3-6 had all the matches gone with rankings (3 upset wins and 0 upset losses v non-Brits), though a couple of those 'upset' wins were in matches where the Brit was only ranked slightly lower.

Add Toronto (2-0 in GB v non-GB matches, including Jack excellent upset of Krainik) and Luke's win in Tunisia and GB went 9-3 against foreign opposition in Futures today, with 4 upset wins and no upset losses in those matches.

If you are wondering what some of the newer GB Futures players look like, Lee (@yelnats_eel) has taken loads of pictures today, as you'll have already seen if you follow his account or mine on Twitter.

Young Oscar bows out but not before posting a decent score, 4&2, against Billy

Two brilliant results, with Jack and Imran putting put the second and third seeds, both in two sets. Disappointing loss for Finn, though...

real chance of a first futures final for Jack now if he can keep it up

feel bad for George, anywhere else in the draw and you would have thought he'd be causing real damage

I wouldnt feel bad for George as such, nor Jack if he doesnt go any further. Both are exciting young players that we should expect to be up where Jay and Cam are in a couple of years whereas the likes of Billy who he lost to most certainly wont be.

Went down to see the singles matches today - wouldnt surprise me if Jack won the whole thing the way he was playing. Very mature performance. Hope I havent jinxed him...

My livescore page has it the other way round and that it's the Germans who gave a walkover and the Brits won (which, without wishing them ill, would be good for the singles tomorrow as they both won and would mean that one of them is not feeling all that peachy).
