Interestingly draper, Watson and aswat are all missing from next week's entries
I see that Draper is down for the 25k in Nigeria the week after so it would make sense, I guess, for him to have a week off, before making the trip out.
George Loffhagen is also not in Barnstaple, but is down for the 25k in Sweden so he might be doing the same (although I wonder if he'll ask for a WC at Barnstaple, given he's lost in R1 two weeks in a row).
Neil P was 6-2 up in the third set tb. But ended up losing it 9-7. Which included 2 dfs.
I remember Sherbert saying she once suggested to Neil to have some mental coaching. And he wasn't having any of it.
Maybe she had a point, Neil......
Looks like JonH might have a good point here, as well as last week
Today has seen losses by the 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 8th seeds.
With the 5th and 6th having lost yesterday.
So there's only Crepatte (for young Jack to take care of?) and Finn left in as seeded players.....
Ah, someone does read my posts
Thing is, there are so many younger and relatively unknown players, with a generally weaker field than normal that both weeks have looked ripe for unknowns to plunder. If Draper and Watson do get deep into the week again then they will have done v well in such a circumstance to show consistency. But overall, in these types of weeks, rankings seem fairly meaningless to me - maybe not on a match by match basis but as a whole for the week.
To make things more exciting, next week looks like it will prove to be equally wide open as well!
