Both will already be in the 700s in the rankings and probably GB top 20 on Monday week with a final and hopefully the title still to add for the winner.
The lad is certainly on a roll and with a week off after this and then a couple of Nigerian 25+Hs, while of course the long term is very much what matters, who knows where he is heading in the short term in the rankings as a 16 yo.
He had one MP at 5-1*, another at *5-2 when he then served 2 successive DFs ( just his 2nd and 3rd of the match ) and then 4 MPS in all at 5-3*. Hey, more experience banked than if he had just sailed through on his first MP.
They came back from 6-7 0-3* double break down, having not broken up to then, and got it back on serve at 4-3* before going on to take that second set on the TB.
