Play is suspended due to rain, with Shapavalov in a third set decider against Ivashka
There is another match scheduled before Andy, so it will be a while before he gets on court, if at all (almost 5:30pm there at the moment)
OK. It's stopped raining, Shap's match has now been completed, the match to follow has been moved to another court, and Andy's match should start in about 30 minutes. (If I have interpreted things correctly, which is not a given )
2nd set lost - 2 hours for two sets. Another attritional battle - I havent seen andy hit much since he came back, he seems to be getting into these v long matches v everyone he plays, is he lacking the ability to put the point away, ie attacking game not there at the moment?
Andy[s always been a natural defender, one of the things that Mr Lendl helped turn around. I guess he's gone back to his comfort zone. not totally unexpected, but also not helpful.
