Luke J has taken the first set easily against Tiran.

James Story won the first set 6-4 against Mark W (I like Mark but was impressed by James when I saw him this summer and would be great for him to be another 2001-er with an ATP ranking).

George Houghton has also got the first set against the Aussie, Cam Green.

And Aidan 6-2 against Ed Hubner

Aidan is the first one home, although James Story has had at least 3 MPs.

Big congrats to Loughborough's George Houghton. He's had some good wins, over ranked players, especially in Portugal recently, but couldn't quite get that point counter. And now he has

L32: (Q) George Houghton (GBR) UNR def. Cameron Green (AUS) WR 1034 6-4 6-4

Meanwhile, Story's 3 MPs evaporated and he lost the second set 5-7.

Tiran has also taken the second set against Luke Johnson.

George's win guarantees a GB semi-finalist in the third quarter (already one guaranteed for the second quarter)

The draw just gets more and more British - and more and more 'junior'.....

Seemingly, the Dutch 6th seed has withdrawn, leaving 2001 born Oscar with a nice LL spot.

Revised draw:

L32: Jonathan Binding (GBR) WR 1218 v (LL) Oscar Weightman (GBR) 1617 (age 16)

Shame for young James when he had that second set, and plenty of MPs.

But that's how experience helps, and the whole point of playing up in adults:

L32: (7) Mark Whitehouse WR 829 def. (Q) James Story (born 2001) UNR 4-6 7-5 6-4

And another teenager who will now be ranked:

L32: (q) Michael Shaw UNR def. (WC) Mason Recci UNR (CH 1547 in Oct. 16) 6-4 6-4

L32: (2) Francesco Vilardo (ITA) WR 455 def. (Q) George Davies UNR 6-4 6-7(5) 6-3

In a turn up for the books, Sizya K puts out Finn (3rd seed) in R1....

L32: (Q) Sizya Kivanda UNR def. (3) Finn Bass WR 811 3-6 7-6(4) 6-4

Maybe the quicker Finn gets off to college the better. And well done to Sizya.

WC junior Dan Martin won the first set but lost the second.

LL junior, Oscar W, lost the first set but won the second (v Binding)

And Carter and Stoute are just going into a third set too.

So, with Finn and Luke J out, that means that one of the four following players will get to the semis (at least) and collect 6 points:

Tiran Sanghera
Mike Shaw
George Houghton
Sizya Kivanda

That's pretty good going

Brilliant !!!

Young Dan Martin becomes yet another 2001-er to get an ATP ranking - and in a third-set tie-break - his poor parents must have been having kittens

L32: Jonathan Binding WR 1218 def. (LL) Oscar Weightman WR 1617 6-3 6-7(4) 6-2

L32: Robert Carter WR 1940 def. Isaac Stoute WR 869 6-2 6-7(4) 6-1

L32: (WC) Daniel Martin UNR def. (LL) Simonas Zukauskas (LTU) UNR 7-6(5) 3-6 7-6(3)

L32: Alexis Canter WR 1199 def. (WC) Harry Lazell (age 14) UNR 6-1 7-5
