So, with Finn and Luke J out, that means that one of the four following players will get to the semis (at least) and collect 6 points:

Tiran Sanghera
Mike Shaw
George Houghton
Sizya Kivanda

That's pretty good going

I was very impressed with George when I saw him and he would be my bet to come through this section.

You're probably right - he seems to be playing well at the moment.

He's the only one I haven't seen, unfortunately; but based purely on the other three I would put Tiran above Mike and Sizya.

Excellent effort from young Dan Martin.

Shame about Tiran.

George H looking good.

Mark and Vilardo both has long matches today so it'll be a survival of the fittest tomorrow.

Equally, hopefully Guinard/Smith turns into a monster match and Ryan P can mop up

So 2 of our 3 highest ranked players in the draw were beaten by fellow Brits ( one unranked ), who were in turn beaten by other Brits, both unranked but now playing for at least these 6 SF points. All the best, Mike and George.

Our other 4 in the QF are the rest of our top 6 ranked here, and the final 2 are the pesky top 2 seeds.

An on form Pauffley would walk through this event, however his form has been sketchy all season. Penno is the form horse.

Just to make clear, it's not the SF that Elliott and Cam Green won by a walkover, but the QF (there's the same match twice)

So Elliott and Cam are into the SF and will play the winner of Kay+ v Duncan/Binding

Close match but it is indeed George Houghton who comes out on top in his quarter and gets the 6 points. However, my hope that Manuel would be dead on his feet after a long match yesterday didn't quite pan out as planned:

QF: (1) Manuel Guinard (FRA) WR 404 def. (8) Ryan Peniston WR 797 6-4 6-4

QF: (Q) George Houghton UNR def. Michael Shaw UNR 6-4 7-5
