Week 46 - Challenger ($150,000+H) - Bengaluru Open, Bangalore, India (hard)

Well, Liam has just lost the first set 3-6

Maybe doesn't help that his opponent, Khumoyun, is basically called 'come-on' ....

In the main draw:

L32:  Yang Tsung-Hua (TPE) WR 268 (CH = 164 in May 2012) vs James Ward WR 201 (CH = 89 in July 2015)
L32:  (WC) Sumit Nagal (IND) WR 310 (CH = 213 in April) vs (7) Jay Clarke WR 174 (CH = 173 in September)

Great to see Jay back in harness, but a rather unfortunate draw.  cry

I know nothing about Nagal, why do you think that is an unfortunate draw for him? On face value it looks ok in terms of rankings, wild card, possibly tough playing a home player but could probably be a lot worse?

Not for him, but for Jay & Dino, should they win win their respective first-round matches - that's why there's no gap between the two.

Oh, ok, I wasn't in on the way you structured these things!

I always think two brits playing in round 2 or further, if they get that far, is an opportunity, at least one will go onwards! In this case if both win R1, we have a quarterfinalist and I always find Brit v Brit interesting from a match up perspective

He was a bit cryptic recently re taking some time out. So good at least to see him back playing here and hope things come together well over the coming months.
