Some colossal serving by Jan to get by an admittedly injury-hampered Vit Kopriva to reach the second round of Wimby for the second time in his career and looking very fluid in the process. A career high 18 aces in this match. Definitely staying in the top 100 for awhile.

Will be great if Jan does stay top 100 but he is far from certain to still be top 100 even in the next post Wimbledon rankings update on 13/07.

So far his 50 Wimbledon R1 win points replace 50 points from a French Challenger title during the fortnight last year. So no net points gain yet though he is for now up to live ranked 98.

Much more Wimbledon and Challenger action to come over the rest of the fortnight. Jan himself is shown as entered for a German Challenger next week.

In the week after Wimbledon he is due to drop a further 75 points from a Dutch Challenger title last year.

Just keep winning, Jan !
