I thought Jo played positively, really battled through her first few service games (I think the first 3 games took 30 mins) and she seemed calm at all times, whilst Sloane was visibly annoyed at times. Lots of power, good defensive play, nice angles and much more of moving the ball from side to side from Jo. If you are going to draw Sloane, best to draw her when shes cold. Nevertheless a decent performance and match.

Easy hold to 15 for AS *0-1

Harriet holds to 15 despite missing four first serves, an impressive Dart b cc winner but her serve looks slow in comparison 1-1

A super b dtl winner from HD on the first point but rubbish from her for the next four points, struggling to find the court returning AS's 2nd serve *1-2

Another super b dtl winner from Harriet and a smash winner as she holds to 30 2-2

Easy for AS, only had to play one ground-stroke all game, Harriet attempting aggressive 2nd serve returns but missing each time *2-3

Harriet playing well gets to 40-30 but AS comes up with a sublime drop shot after a long rally, HD f wide and then an aggressive f from AS to break 2-4

A lovely drop shot from Harriet, she gets to 15-40 then AS dominates, finishing with back to back aces, HD might have done more with a 2nd serve return on bp but even then not much wrong with her shot 2-5

A rubbish game from Harriet despite an ace and a rare unreturned 1st serve, four errors including a df as she is broken to 30 2-6

2nd set was one-sided. Harriet came up with a couple of super returns in one game and a few nice backhands towards the end but still lost the set 0-6

Huge gulf in class between the players. Harriet simply doesn't have enough penetration on her serve to take control of the points, while her return of the Sevastova 2nd serve was, with one or two exceptions, woeful. Some rallies in which Harriet played great tennis yet still lost the point. First serve percentage in the 40s didn't help. In many respects, Sevastova's game is something Harriet should aspire to, if she works really hard over the next 5 years.

superb week for dart ends with good learning experiance and harriet seem like the sort who will be able to extract useful lessons from trading with the quality of sevastova even in defeat

next event be important with high expectatians and hope to maintain or get close to the standard if probly not the results

well done so far and keep building
