Huge hold from *15-40, saving another BP along the way in a 5 deuce game.

5-2*

Going the distance. 2 pretty comfortable holds. 6-3. Might have to call it a night soon though.

She's in a fantastic position here, up a double break in the decider.

*3-0.

Some turnaround this, that was some shot to get the second break.

Her defence is by far her best asset.

Jorovic has one of them back though. I stopped watching after the 2nd set but have been glued to my phone since, ha.

3-1*

Unbelievable turnaround. Never saw that coming at 5-0, especially when she literally win 2 points in the first 4 games and looks overwhelmed by Jorovic's power.

Absolutely delighted for her.

Won 1-6 6-3 6-1.

Ugly start from Harriet but had really found her range on her ground-strokes by the 3rd set, some amazing defence from her, including an astonishing backhand passing shot from miles behind the baseline to break for *3-0 in the third set.

She had to fight hard to take the 2nd set. Both players had plenty of bps yet only the one break in the set.

Towards the end of the contest Ivana's form had deserted her, a number of wild errors in the final game, a terrible smash long, a df to bring up Harriet's 2nd mp.

Harriet is Watsonesque in scrambling and her ground strokes are very solid.

Please just avoid Sabalenka/Pliskova/Svitolina. Sharapova could be fun though

Fantastic to see Harriet qualify for a slam like this. I'm sure she'll get a huge confidence boost from the way she has started the year. biggrin
