How really annoying! As one of the amazingly few (10/45) who voted that Jodie would stay in the top 10 GB women this year, I was really hoping to see her over that line tonight for her first match and first win of 2019!

Yes I had expected them to win that match too. Jodie's opponent in the second round is the youngster who beat EWS in the FQR.

I wonder if the two Emilys have considered pairing up in doubles.

It strikes me that they could have quite compatible schedules and could make them fit more, looking for singles 25K points and quite happy to travel plus currently looking more of a force in doubles. EWS might be helpful to Emily App's development.

I have no real idea if their games would fit well together but just a thought ...
