RE Kyle: could it be glandular fever....?

When he had his illness a few years back, it was really debilitating but never fully diagnosed.  It led to Kyle having a period of complete rest, but they did tests for Glandular Fever and ruled that out.

L56:  (Q) Cameron Norrie WR 45 defeated John Millman (AUS) WR 57 by 3-6 6-3 6-4

*****

L32:  (13) Borna Coric (CRO) WR 15 (CH = 12 last November) vs (Q) Cameron Norrie WR 45

That will not be easy!

Surely the Beeb know what a 'straight sets defeat is by now ?  - "Britain's Cameron Norrie won through to the second round of the Italian Open but Kyle Edmund suffered his fourth straight first-round defeat."

Aye they do Julia - you need to go back and re-read it.
They have written it's Kyle's 4th straight R1 defeat. Not straight sets.smile

Oh, so that's me being dim then LOL  - so  it's their way (or anybody's way) of saying 4th R1 defeat in a row then?

I think I need to go to the 'cognitive decline' clinic......... seriously LOL

Ha, it's awkwardly worded for sure. Sometimes it's just the way your brain works (or not!)

Kyle now 31 in live rankings. Berretini beating Zverev and Djere winning mean if they both win their next matches Kyle May miss out on RG seeding if Im correct in the Maths. A few others could also pass him with Semi Final runs being Verdasco, Chardy and Cam.

Think he will scrape in, withdrawals may save the seeding anyway.

So from Madrid and Rome, Zverev replaces 1600 (1000+600) 2018 points with 190 (180+10) 2019 points.

General form very poor for a guy of his ability.
