Week 24 - Challenger (€137,560+H) - Nature Valley Open, Nottingham, Great Britain (grass)

L16:  (14) Antoine Hoang (FRA) WR 118 defeated (Q) Ryan Peniston WR 681 by 7-6(3) 6-2

Looks as though Ryan gave everything he had in that first set.

Bit of a slow start for Dan - 24 points played in his first three service games. But he's a double-break up now, and serving at *5-2

L16:   (1/WC) Daniel Evans WR 70 defeated (15) Mikael Ymer (SWE) WR 123 by 6-2 2-6 7-5 in two hours & 22 minutes

I thought he was going to blow it when he went a break down early in the third set!

 Brilliant result !

I am also very pleased for Ymer that he came so close - I've always liked his play, since a kid, and at Wimbly qualis, and watched some of him at RG, on TV, (where he qualified and won a match in the MD too)

Dan is a very good match player - always seems to break to win games towards the end of sets.

Slightly rare commodity unfortunately.

Yes, I hope they are going to be consistent and refer always to Boris Johnson, once he (unfortunately) becomes our Prime Minister... with the same past cocaine user tag. And of course Gove too, should also have the same tag consistently applied.
