Well played Dan.

A few nervy moments for Dan in that 3rd set and lots of chuntering, he didnt seem totally happy. But a straight sets win and possibly a match v Wardy next?

Hope so, but Wardy has just been taken to a 5th set.

So much going on right now. Strong start from Cam who is already up a double break in the opening set at *3-0

In the first set and half Bash-ilashvili was trying to ball bash Ward off the court, then midway through he realised that all you need to do to beat Ward is to be solid, as he has no major weapons.
Lot of people slate Basilashvili saying he is the most over ranked ATP player, but fair play today to him.

It's never over until it's over. As Basilashvili serves for the match Wardy breaks back for *5-5 in the decider

Interesting stat (courtesy of the BBC website) from the Kyrgios match.

Nick Kyrgios won the third-set tie-break in 19 minutes, then lost the fourth set in 18 minutes.

R1 at Wimbledon is never complete without a James Ward epic. Unfortunately, it wasn't to be today as James goes down 8-6 in the 5th. Overall, a highly creditable performance against a Top 20 player but he will be gutted.

It was always likely to end in tears. But James justifies his wildcard and gave a good show

There should be a rule that if a WC loses in the first round, they get no prize money.
