When I saw Matilda at Roehampton, for part of the match there was a little girl watching, wearing tennis kit, who looked like a miniature Matilda. Is she a little sister???? Do hope so..... (or just some random little girl who looks rather similar)
I was very impressed with Matilda (although that's hardly stop-the-press news - she's extremely high on all radars)
But she has lovely timing and uses her whole body weight (not a lot) really well in her shots.
She did drop her head a little at Roehampton, when behind in the score. It's sometimes a problem being the exciting new thing.
But very interesting prospect...... and little sis too??????
After Anton beats one Roehampton champion today can Erin beat another tomorrow? It is an even more daunting task, as the Ukrainian was also a semifinalist at the Australian Open, and has a 29-8 record so far in WTA/ITFs having won 25K and 15K events

Matilda serves out to 15 for a great 6-3 3-6 6-3 victory over the Nottingham champion
Great performance by Matilda today, watched only a couple of games but she hits a great ball consistently and looked the youngest player in the tournament. Very exciting for her and her family.
Matilda more than holding her own against the 17 year old Russian Daria Frayman, 3-1 up in the third, its live on the red button at the moment well worth a watch. Missed the first set but saw the end of the second, Daria went of to compose her self while Matilda rubbed a red ball shaped mark on her upper right arm. Within a few minutes of the start of the third Matilda knocked Darias racket clean out of her hand driving the ball at her as she had advanced to the net.
