Another patchy performance I'm afraid. Plays some good points, then sprays the ball around.
6-4 3-3* (5 breaks to 4 - so far)

Wins 6-4 6-3

Some good stuff, including a beautiful forehand winner down the line to clinch it. But overall a bit patchy. Branstine hits a nice ball, and would expect to see her start to fulfil some of her junior potential if she can stay healthy.

I always think that when Heather is playing well she serves a lot of aces or at least service winners, as she did in the last game.

When her serve is not going so well, she ends up in trouble.

May be true of most players but Heather's serve can be very good.

Whew  confuse

Nara beat Rybarikova today. Heather has lost to her in the Fed Cup (who will forget that!), and as a junior too.

Won all 7 deuce points! A couple of those go the other way and scoreboard starts to look very different. Well done.

Where did you see that Paul ? I can only see the break points on the live scores (6/11 v 1/11) - or did you count them ?

Harriet will play Babos in R2 if she beats Cabrera later, as Babos beat Bouchard in 3 in the early hours match. Harriet is first on, at 6pm UK, but I can't tell whether there will be a stream or not. Didn't think there was going to be one for Hev yesterday and there was, so here's hoping.

Good to see Hev get a win. Next round will be tough based on H2H and current form.
