Very interesting to see where Sam gets to in singles and doubles rankings. I think she is capable of becoming GB no.1 doubles player and that would really stick one up the LTA given her age.
Wow, but that doesn't tell the story! Sam really made that hard. After being 4-1 and 5-3 up as you said, she was then *5-6 down, got to the TB and was cruising it at 5-1 and 6-2, then somehow lost 4 pts in a row, before finally claiming the last two pts against the serve. Be good if she could make the second set a little easier... including for their doubles fortunes together later today.

Re singles it certainly looks between Sam and Katie S for our end of year #4. And Sam looks capable of getting back into the singles top 200 next year which would be tremendous ( reaching the final here will see her back into the doubles top 200 on Monday ).
