An interesting stat for Sam's game is that she won 6/18 BPs. That's a huge number of BP opportunities for just 2 sets. And although she had to get to 7 to win both sets, she was actually up 89-71 on points overall, which is a a large margin of difference. With this win Sam cements her AO qualifying spot.

Just been watching Naomi v Tara in a doubles match (livestream); Naomi won a point to level at 11-11 in MTB then appeared to land badly and seemed to be in a lot of pain.  Received treatment on court, helped by fellow players and wheelchair was brought out.

Hope it doesn't keep her away too long.

Into the SF she goes winning that final set 6-1

A wonderful final set come back from Sam. She will play top seed Flipkens or 7th seed Kostova in the SF.

Sam is also up to LR 219. Incredibly impressive from her.
