Beth has lost, Jodie has won, and Lissey is attempting a second set comeback

Yes Lissey lost in two in the end.

Jodie just underway now, looks like it could be a tough test - Whittle a slight pre match favourite and has beaten some good players recently, particularly before the US Open.

There's a stream for it.

1-0*

Rain delay, may have come at a good time for Jodie as she had just lost 4 games in a row.

1-4 0-15* when they return.

Just caught the end of the MTB, 2-10 unfortunately, and a ball subsequently went flying. Decent effort in that second set, but another defeat. Whittle has built up a fairly impressive resume these past 4 months with wins over Zavatska, Perez x2, Volynets, Baptiste etc. players ranked in, around, and even higher than Jodie, but possibly another match that may have been different had it occured pre Surbiton.

Jodie lost the MTB 2-10.

I only watched the MTB but I think it's safe to say that Jodie's game was very error strewn. She dumped what should have been two winners into the net, the last on MP, following which she hit the spare ball she had somewhere into the next county. Of the points I watched, Whittle won 1, Jodie lost the rest. She is not matched honey again after her injury that's for certain, but what's important is that she gets back there by the beginning of next season.

Jodie's aim on this US swing may well have been to get into AO qualifying. It's unlikely she will, it's Sam and Katies S who have the current momentum not Jodie. She's playing catch up, but I got the feeling here she's trying to force her game too much, perhaps because of her objective. She needs though to focus simply on recapturing the rhythm she had before.

Haha, can't help but be amused by those 3 versions of the MTB - the score, the player stats, and the verbose commentary winkbiggrin
