Week 50 - ITF (W25) - Pune, India - Hard

Ah, Freya's doubles which at least was going not too bad at all has gone a bit pear shaped in recent weeks as a high seed.

No messing from Emma !

Katie taken the 1st set 6-2 but more importantly her 1st serve percentage was in the mid 50s rather than the 30s from last week.

I can't reply today unless I quote for some reason, strange.

ITF site has someone giving a walkover in this match. It says Walkover next to Naiktha, but not sure if she is through or has given the walkover.

I agree its really unclear at the R2 stage.

But if you click to go further along, to the QFs, it has Naithka listed down the QF column (the only player there) so I'm pretty sure it's Naithka who's won by a walkover.

Pretty sure that wasn't there when I checked, but yes, more clear now. Hopefully Katie is ok.

Sorry, I scrolled down, and missread the headings at the top - there are two lines showing the rounds.

I think I saw SF as well after TA mentioned it, so possibly problems with the new site, but either way, seems certain that it is Nsiktha advancing to the QF. Seems strange after a one sided win earlier in the day for Katie, but hopefully it's just sickness or something and nothing to do with her back.

On a side note, is anyone else having problems replying to threads? I'm just on my phone, but as soon as I type something as a new post, the 'Submit Post' isn't there, so I can only reply by quoting someone. I'll check on the laptop when home, but not had this before.

Encouragingly straightforward that over the solid-at-$25K-level Norwegian 4th seed.
No seeming artifacts in that result from whatever ailed Ms. Raducanu last week.
