I might have given Rod an outside chance at the start, but never would have thought Monica would win like that. I wonder how different the final outcome would have been with a few surface changes?

I wondered how much the outcomes were linked to likeability versus how strong the two players were. Monica ended up with 3 opponents that where marmite characters on one level.

But as telstar said it was great that some oldies were appreciated . Theres always a tendency by the press and younger fans to pronounce current greatness as the best ever. Liverpool this season. But what about liverpool of the 80s.

Certainly wouldn't have been my predictions. Before the start I'd have gone for Roger and Steffi as the two most universally liked and respected. No Marmite ingredient in either!
