Individual forum members will have all sorts of reasons for their personal favourites and that is what is being asked.
And I assume most of us want to see their true answers, not say politically correct ones, and not necessarily to be put off by any results being considered rubbish by any individual. Though feel free anyone to campaign for your particular favourite but the results will be the results and presumably answers to the question.
As we stand, 5 of 26 voters have indicated that they most prefer Jo from the above names. 21 have indicated one of the others which in itself is no slight on Jo or indeed Katie B ( 2 votes so far ) who may both be liked by many but there is at least one other player who is more of a favorite with these other voters.
Personally, I have increasingly liked and admired Em over the years. She has not won any Fed Cup match or won big titles. But she is my favourite player from the above.
Yes agree with Indiana. It's a popularity poll not a best player poll. If there were a poll on most liked world mens players I would have the top two right at the bottom-that doesn't mean that I don't acknowledge their playing ability. Sam and Emily deserve support for their longevity and their personalities.
On reflection it reminded me of Strictly Come Dancing where the public's favourites are not always the best dancers. The judges then have their heads in their hands wondering how such a result came about. Then they have to judge the dance off.

But in this case we arent voting the best, if that was the case it would only be one winner all along.
This is a poll for the favourite, the clue is in the title !

Agreed about favourite as opposed to the best. But in 1 group(not this one) I liked 2 players about the same so just had to vote for one of them when I could have just as easily voted for the other.

Welcome to my world
In R1, I had to choose between 4 potential favourites in just one group. My fault for having too many favourites.
