Liam is in action. A break down in the opening set after a very unlucky net cord towards the end of his opening service game. Fighting hard to bring it back, though.

Liam breaks back! Squandered three BPs at 0-40, but still managed to secure the break. Back at 3-3 in the first.

Oof. Liam DFs on break point (his first serve looked in, tbf) and hands the break right back. 3-4* in the opener.

Broady just spurned another three BPs, now serving at *3-5.

Only 36% of second serve points won so far, and 1/7 break points taken.

Yeah, the score is fair but there wasn't that much difference in the actual tennis.

Some of Liam's errors are just awful..... :(

Liam has had 14 break points (fourteen!!!) and taken just two.

Some, admittedly, the other guy has played well - but at least 50% of the missed ones have been sloppy play from Liam.

Only watched the last couple of games and that was painful enough. Not the Liam "fight for every point" Broady that I am used to seeing. I guess everyone has bad days and this seemed like one for Liam. But he has had a good run recently so maybe a day like this was on the cards.

Liam loses 6-3 6-2
