This isn't being shown by Prime (they are next showing Antwerp unless they pick up rights at short notice for another tournament) but selected matches are being shown on youtube - like Dan vs Stan: www.youtube.com/watch

A super set of tennis.
Some audacious serve and volley on second serves.
Some great aggressive groundstrokes hitting the lines.
Good sliced defence.
Keep it up, Dan!

Being off the clay helps! Dan always liked indoor courts.

Bah, 3 MPs for Dan at 6-3 6-5* 40-0* but they were well saved by Wawrinka.

Bad miss by Dan at the start of the TB but generally Wawrinka's backhand has come ominously really on song.

6-3 6-7(3)

Do you think? I thought the middle one was (the ace) but the first, in particular, and the third were not - Dan's backhands were way too short in the third MP, he just gave Stan the winner.

Actually, it was a great set. Dan played really well (except those two points, and - yes - the tiebreak). High standard from Dan

But Stan played a real 'thinking' set - he changed tactics and started pressurising Dan's backhand, knowing Dan would have to put up the floaty slice shot, and then Stan would come in and the ball away as a volley.

A real ding-dong....
