Week 41 - ITF (W15) Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt Hard

All three matches on live score at the same time but not looking promising.

And then there were none........ :(

As Emily Arb loses the MTB 9-11

So it's down to Freya in the MD.

And Emily and Freya in the doubles

There appears to be 7 slots on the draw so possible lucky loser.

Good spot, so a 50% chance of getting a LL spot, although no idea if Emilie would be able to play (physically) if it was her who was drawn.

 You're spot on, emmsie.

And it's Emilie Lindh who gets it ........

Not sure if that's good news, if she's injured. But, hey, presumably she'd had withdrawn if she'd known she couldn't play (unless she either forgot or would like to at least turn up and get the cheque, which would be quite understandable too, to be honest)

She's drawn against Scholsen, the qualifier from Belgium, so it's a pretty decent draw, all things considered too.

Freya was in the lead half way through the first set, although a lots of breaks.

And then, from the score at least, seemed to fall to pieces rather at the end of the set - lost it 3-6

Two match points down, then hit three consecutive aces - only ones in the match so far.
Not enough though, down and out.

Just to mention also, in passing, that half-British Joanna Garland (age 19) is playing here, and has won her R1 against Boncic.
