I assumed in a 3 way tie that 4th pair were taken out of xountback and it was based on results between the 3 tied pairs. I'm sure that is what it used to be. But clearly not, and the Latin pair had a 57 percent set record, pavic and soares 55 and Melzer and erv 62.5. So pavic and soares lose out.
A retirement should be the end of someone's event, period.
: 3 players have 2 wins and the other player has 0 wins. The player with 0 wins is eliminated. Of the 3 players with 2 wins, they are ordered by their % of sets won. This produces a 1, 2 & 3 order and the players finishing 1 and 2 move to the semi-final round and the player finishing 3 in % of sets won is eliminated. The player with the best % of sets won is the winner of the group.
Seems these are the rules above. Still think retirements should be tournament over.
In doubles from the 12 round robin matches 14 of the 23 non MTB sets have gone to 6 all/tie break.
Crazy. Literally a toss up - 5 pairs had 2-1 records, 3 had 1-2.
Yes, extremely tight. Though it appears among them more matches were won than lost Peers & Venus lost all 3, though that included a 10-12 MTB and an 8-10 MTB.
After 2 hours of dross, hopefully some competitive sporting action to follow (I'm just catching up after the football, so about 20 mins behind). Who do people have today? Big 2 final, or will we see something different?
