Shame for Jack D to lose but would rather it be to another promising young Brit - shows he's not the only one.

Title feels strange for Anton though , beat Dino twice and Jack but lost to Aidan. But then it seems most players lost, Andy Murray was probably the only one standing undefeated although I havent checked for certain

With everyone playing different numbers of matches, it does seem a bit odd to have an overall winner! But hey,I've managed to watch a bit of live tennis, so not complaining!

That should be be good, is it mens only? I wonder what the teams might look like, Andy, Jamie , Jonny for Scotland? England - Dan, Kyle, Liam, Jay, take your pick on doubles but Joe, Neal

feels a little one sided to me!

Wasnt there a England v Scotland event a few years back when Andy was coming up that was touted as an annual event, again in Aberdeen, but it only took place one year?

I think Cam Norrie would be down as Scotland, Scottish dad if I am not mistaken? I guess though if life is a bit back to normal he might head back to New Zealand ahead of the Australian Open.

I guess it depends how many matches they try for it's a 2 day event. It could be as simple as 2 singles and a doubles game each day. I guess two singles and two doubles could be more likely, allowing for Jamie and Jonny to pair up and switch opponents for the 2nd day.

It is only men, Jamie on the radio today stated that there weren't any Scottish women players of the calibre of Jo & Heather to make a balanced team. He also confirmed that Andy would be playing

I think that is rather a pity it's just men. He isn't wrong - I know Maia Lumsden is Scottish but that's all I know off the top of my head and she is ranked fairly low but by marketing it as England Vs Scotland rather does mean there's no women involved which isn't a great look in my opinion.

I agree, perhaps they should run a parallel competition for Scottish 'girls' so they can have some inspiration from well known players?

A similar event was in fact held, as I thought, in Aberdeen called the Aberdeen Cup, but it was 2005 and 2006, which ages me! The teams and results are below - it was mixed and Scotland had Bally in their team plus the Murray's, England had Greg Rusedski in 2005/6. I remember James Auckland, but James Chaudry and Hannah James are new to me. Teams may well have included juniors back then? James McKie? Caitlin Steele, Clare Sawyer?

I've read today this is only two singles and four doubles. So maybe Andy and Aiden McHugh playing singles, if Cam is not representing Scotland?
