Goodness, I didn't expect that score - or maybe even that result.

Aksu hammered the top seed yesterday.

And Billy seems to have had an unfortunate habit recently of posting a great result early in the event and then not following up.

Really please he's made the semis - where at least the points start being faintly decent.

And with Lavallen beating the 4th seed, that makes an interesting semi.....

(Lavallen is only 19 and was junior 30 which is pretty good - I thought it might be 'even better' in that Argentinians often don't play that much junior tennis but he seems to have had a pretty full schedule last year)

Super result for Billy! Was hoping to catch some it like Bob however missed it! Think it was on livestream as well.

Billy off to a fast start in his SF, 3-0* before "interrupted". The weather forecast looks a bit dodgy for Antalya today.

Is this event, indeed all the itf events in Antalya, at the same complex as the planned atp event in a weeks time? Realise this is clay but presumably this is some sort of mega hotel resort?

That 5th game was a bit of a battle with a few break points but now another break in the bag for some breathing room.

Big hold for the 4-1. 18 points and faced 4 break points. Then broke to love. *5-1.

From what I can work out they are at different resorts.

the ITFs are held at Club Mega Saray whereas the ATP event is going to be at Limak Arcadia Sport resort I think. Google shows it as 15 minutes apart about 11km. But would be less as the crow flies.

Thanks Madadman. There was a grass event was

t there last year , on the wta or atp tour, was that in one of these resorts also?

Just been going through Billy's history. He has reached 6 SFs before this one, losing all of them - the 1st three in straight sets and the next three having won the first set. The closest Billy has ever come to a final was in his last SF, where he lost 9-7 in a 3rd set breaker.

Time to break the trend Billy - once the rain stops.

Seems the grass event was at another resort

It took place at the Kaya Palazzo Resort in Belek, Antalya Province, Turkey

Biily would be an ideal candidate for a documentary on the Tennis tours, something similar to the F1 one, which was fascinating. A Player struggling on the lower tour and maybe a much higher ranked player would make a great show.
