Thankfully our best bets here are all playing tomorrow, jay is off the pace it seems

Jay has been off the pace since Wimbledon 2019 with the exception of a 1 tournament rally. He has gone backwards, if he is still being coached by his brother maybe it's time for a change because it isn't working.

ETA If something doesn't change soon he won't even be getting a MDWC at Wimbleson because there will be others in front of him and I 'm not sure he will have anyone advocating fr him to get one after the Mixed doubles palaver

Agree something is seriously not working. However, he has also had his fair share of injuries which have affected performance.

Does anyone know what Jays ranking would be without the points carrying over from 2019.

From what I can see he accumulated 56 points in 2020, he is in big trouble when points come off.

However he won't be the only one. Time for the players to step up in 2021

No he won't but for comparision Liam has accumulated 175 points in 2020 and right now there are only 4 places between them.

Watched the first 2 games and thought he looked well off the pace.

According to OER, he'll drop around half of his points by the end of May, which would put him down to around WR300 based on current rankings.

I'd wondered about the coaching arrangement too, maybe time for a fresh pair of eyes.

How do you peeps rate Liam's chances of making back to back main draw appearances? I don't get to see much of him because I do not watch challengers, I did see him a couple of times during the First couple of Battle of the Brits and bits of him against Vesely in the FO round 1.

I'd say he may well beat Lestienne but it'll be a tight affair, i predict Liam in 3 (6-3, 6-7,7-5).

Liam trying to be the more offensive player, which is good to see. Had two BPs but couldn't manage it. Now serving to stay in the set.

This is nuts

www.tennismajors.com/atp-actualite-2/beaten-benchetrit-frustrated-as-kudla-learns-of-positive-test-during-a-match-315442.html

Kudla had a prior Covid test but had not been given the result. He was allowed to play. He was informed that HE HAD covid DURING the match but went on to win anyway.
