Evo has a the break over 4th seed Coric. 6-5 and serving. Coric strikes me as one of those whos benefitted from the atp rankings protection and maintained a high ranking whilst not playing much , but still a dangerous player. He even has a whole rankings site in his name

Dan had 14 aces vs coria, has he beefed up his serve these last few months?

14 aces from Dan is extraordinary! 7 aces per set!! I know the courts here are fast, but really? Has Dan ever served this many aces in a match? I have to say Miriambee, I thought you must have had made an error, so I checked the match stats on the ATP site. Not only are you correct, but there is a stat that equally suprising: Dan's 1st serve points won was 84% ! With my analyst's hat on, I suggest a new stat that will remove the height factor from a player's ability to hit aces: Number of aces divided by the square root of a player's height in metres. This performance would be right up there!
