Definite chance for Dan to pick up his first ATP title here after a very good day. Probably famous last words, but I think he will beat Chardy easily. Most likely opponent in the final will be FAA. That will be tougher but still very winnable.

Pleased for Jonny/Cam as well but just a pity it was against Joe.

ratings from tennis abstract - Da favourite to beat Chardy, just, and quite possibly when they get to meet each other, the odds v FAA will be in his favour slightly also

SF:  (8) Daniel Evans WR 33 (CH = 28 in March 2020) beat Jérémy Chardy (FRA) WR 66 (CH = 25 in January 2013) by  6-2 6-2

FAA and Moutet are still to start in the other SF. 

His SF win will move Dan for now up to live ranked 31 and a maiden ATP tour title would take him up to a CH 26.

 Good effort and good week for cam and Jonny. Sadly, not together at AO, Cam with Giron and Jonny with Sitka.
