Even before the shutdown bar the 2 mentioned it was slim pickings compared to 3 or 4 years ago. We do have a very thin looking number of teenagers coming through at the moment.

 I certainly wouldn't disagree re the lack of teenagers coming through and indeed the lack in the early 20s.

Stuart is 23 yo and has gone his own route, as clearly has 31 yo Brydan.

I actually think the pandemic and Britains disastrous handling of it under Bojo will hold us back even more given all the restrictions we still have coupled with our weather conditions at the moment. A long winter after no tennis in the summer and likely to be limits going into the spring and summer. The Aussies and countries that are generally 20 years ahead of us will most likely prosper.

And after the glory here in week 5, Stuart and Mertens are drawn against each other in R1 of the week 6 event
