L64:  Cameron Norrie WR 69 defeated (Q) Roman Safiullin (RUS) WR 183 by 3-6 7-5 6-3 7-6(3) in three hours & 31 minutes

******

L32:  Cameron Norrie WR 69 vs (2) Rafael Nadal (ESP) WR 2 (CH = 1 in August 2008)

Unsurprisingly, there is no head-to-head.  The end of the road for Cam, methinks.  Rafa wrapped up his match in an hour & 47 minutes...

Cam for now is up to live rank 64.

Dan has been Ruudly pushed down to live rank 27.

Some "statistical entity" on Twitter suggesting that if Cam beats Rafa, he will climb above Kyle in the rankings to regain the GB Nș2 spot.

Report on the match from the Beeb which includes comments on a bizarre incident in Rafa's match.

Cameron is the only British player to reach the third round of the last 4 Grand Slam singles.

I see they have kept Kyrgios on the 7pm local Cain/Hisense slot for his blockbuster with Thiem tomorrow. Should be some atmosphere again.

I think that means "in" rather than "of", subtle difference.

No British mens singles tomorrow but tsitsipas v kokk and de minaur v Cuevas , plus Fognini v Caruso stand out as really exciting matches.

There are some decent talented players in the mens game, just need to add consistent performances in many cases.

Two of these went to the wire and lived up to billing. Foggi and Caruso even had a massive handbags moment at the end

Ah right, cheers, makes sense now (and not a great stat), but I genuinely didn't know what was meant there, and even had his wiki up, and thinking, eh, he was out in R1 of the French.
