Indeed, another win over Fognini would get him 4 more places. Good to see some potential for movement starting to happen after things being quite stale

Well yes, if the players in 3 of these 4 places ahead of him were decent enough to lose their next round

Big match for Ken and Neal v Jamie and Bruno. If Ken wins that next match, he gets enough points that he will jump 7 places and up to 55 I think it was, from 62. It is very tightly packed around that spot, further wins would lead to additional decent jumps.

Good spot, it is a big match for them I hope they win.

Cameron beat Fabio Fognini 6-4, 6-3 so now moves up to 54 in rankings :).

Next up, Dominik Koepfer who shocked Milos Raonic :O.

Another win and top 50 as those above him are largely losing ! Koepfer I saw play Novak in the Ilkley final in 2019. Good player, compact, made too many errors at that time but went for his shots. No real killer shots though and a similar game to Cam. Will be tough but Cam can win this one.

Joe and Rajeev also won in a tight MTB and join the other Brits in the QF stage. All of Cam, Joe and the Jamie v Ken and Neal match are on court 2 tonight one after the other, from midnight.

Yes, these 3 players ahead of him did indeed do the decent thing and lost their L16 matches

TA rate Cam a 63 percent chance to win against Koepfer.

I'm not sure if I calculated this right but I am presuming its 35pts per win because ATP live rankings page had Cam as gaining 70pts for 2 wins. So with that in mind, Cam would be 10pts behind Gasquet who is 50th so he'd need to win the semi to go up to top 50, he'd go to 49th by winning his next 2 :).

I'm sure you peeps will correct me if I'm wrong ;).

I havent checked the details but cam has got 70 plus so far and a qf win gives him a further 90, as it rewards wins in later stages more. An extra 90 would take him to 49th, an extra 2 wins even higher, to 48th , and a tournie win, lets not go there. Although it depends on jeremy Chardy in Dubai.

It's 45 points for winning round one, 90 points for quarter final, then 180, 300 and 500.
The 70 points probably means that his 20 points from Eastbourne are replaced by the 90 from here. And add another 90 if he wins hs QF

Edit:- JonH and I posted at the same time, and then my laptop battery died, before I could add the same info as him !
