Its just a shame they cant play Miami together, all due respect to Evo.
It really is. Was just looking at the cut offs for Monte Carlo in 2019. 71 Advanced and 79 on site was the doubles cut offs. So might be able to get into that.

Should do, theyd be 70 as of now with live rankings ... fingers crossed
To give a bit of background, up until the end of 2018 they were always 24 pair draws, except for IW and Miami which were 32 pairs. At the start of 2019 this was changed to 32 pairs for all draws, which was pushed by player council members Bruno Soares and Jamie Murray. Even Paris which has reduced court space had this.
Only 3 Masters took place in 2020, the first two having 32 pair draws again and then Paris had a 24 pair draw.
Now looking at the ATP rules, they seem to have gone back slightly on Bruno and Jamie's previous good work, which is a bit crap.
96 player singles draws (traditionally just IW, Miami) are still 32 pair doubles draws 48 player singles draws (traditionally just Paris) are back to 24 pair doubles draws 56 player singles draws (traditionally everywhere else) are now 28 pair doubles draws
I've banged on about this a lot before, but it's very tough to move up the doubles rankings. Players are generally split into two groups, ones that can play in Slams, Masters, 500's and 250's and ones that can just play Slams and 250's with the former having a massive advantage as they are constantly playing at high points events which the others are excluded from.
It would be nice if they could go back to 32 pairs for all draws which would help with the above problem even just a little.
Absolutely agree wolf about the haves and have nots exacerbated by just 24 pair Masters doubles draws. Allied to entries based on singles rankings this had previously denied, quite late in the year, masters entry to pairs still in ATP finals contention.
Now many quite like seeing some of the high ranked singles players in action. OK, but then leave masters as 32 pair draws. I wonder why the cut back to 24 and 28.
2019 Monte Carlo was a 32 pair draw so for this year the Skupskis for instance will likely be left hoping for a weaker entry list than in normal times.
They seems to be no on site entry for now, which may help them. I wonder if they can see other entries before the deadline, if so I can see Neal sitting by his computer ready to switch to Evo at the last moment. If he can't see other entries, he's shooting in the dark entering with Ken. At a guess I'd have thought they can see them.
