Sinner is going to be some player isnt he. So exciting to watch.
Yes. That was so clear at the Wimbly qualis a few years ago. If you stood pretty much in the middle of the cricket, with all the courts on two sides of you, and shut your eyes, you could tell where Sinner's match was because of the noise (of the ball on the racket). Quite amazing.

He lost in the QR1 when I was there, 10-12 in the third set to Bolt - he hadn't quite got grass skills under control. And was only 17 or so......
And as he never played any junior grand slams (or any junior matches of any note, in fact - another reason to like the lad ), he never did junior wimbly. And not sure he's played ever on grass anywhere else.
So it'll be a challenge. But, absolutely, really looking forward to it.

crazy hype train going on here, load of tosh.
Of these new kids, in the last few years, every new one, has a good run somewhere, wins a masters, makes a slam F or SF. Zverev, Sisspas, Medvedev, Shapavalov, Felix AA, and now is sinner and Rublev. But none of the ever do anything slamwise.
I'd say the future of Wimbledon is more open than Katie Price's legs. These youngster hardly play grass tennis these days and lack the attacking or defensive skills needed for that surface. Sisspas has a nice slice, which could cause damage, but lacks brain cells. I even think Federer at 45 would potentially beat these brats on grass.
Looks like this final is 6pm tomorrow. They always did have the men's match the day after the women's in recent years, but with the chat on the previous page, wasn't sure if that might have changed this year in these times, and with no IW before it.
For all our much vaunted success in doubles in the last 15 years or so, we've only had 1 title in Masters Series events, Jamie Murray in Cincinatti 2018.
Dan Evans & Neal Skupski about to try and double that statistic.

Thanks for that info, very interesting and surprising to me.

And me! How many slam titles? Joe, Jamie x 2? Jonny Murray? Probably completely wrong !
